Who is Alexander?

Alexander was born in July, 2007. Just a little bit ahead of schedule but it was planned so it's ok. But he obviously isn't his birthday. No, he's a baby. A baby champion! And I say that because every time you pick him up he raises his arms like Rocky Balboa. Cue "Eye of the Tiger."

Well, there's really not that much to say about him. He's hungry all the time. Likes boobs (a lot). And his mobile. For about 10 minutes. He loves being held on your shoulder (I occasionally call him my baby parrot) so he can look around with those big eyes. And he hates being left alone (something he must have gotten from his mommy!)

Right now, mommy goes to work and daddy stays at home. It's an odd arrangement but it works out well. Alex seems to enjoy it, at least, and that's what matters! Mommy and daddy still work as a team to raise him. And daddy fits in as much work as he can from home. But I'm distracted. This page is about Alex!

As a baby, his needs are simple but they're growing more complex. Depending on how hungry he is, he'll signal his desire with hand-munching, a pool of slobber, and gurgles... or an ear-piercing cry. Diaper changes are usually wide, open-mouth frowns with a nice, "Oooogh" groaning cry. And when he thinks something's funny - watch out - heart-melting coos and giggles.

But, in the end, the answer is simpler than all that. Alex is whoever he's going to be. Right now that's a baby. Next? Who knows?
